Description

This Ginger Soy Cod is a flavorful and healthy dish that comes together in under 30 minutes. Tender cod fillets are marinated in a savory blend of soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and honey, then baked to flaky perfection. Topped with green onions and sesame seeds, it’s a simple yet impressive recipe that pairs beautifully with rice or steamed vegetables.

Ingredients

– 2 cod fillets (about 150–200g each)
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tbsp honey
– 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
– 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
– 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper.

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, ginger, garlic, honey, and sesame oil.

  • Place the cod fillets in the dish and spoon the marinade over them. Let sit for 10 minutes.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  • Remove from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

  • Serve immediately with your choice of sides.

Notes

– For extra flavor, add orange zest to the marinade.
– You can substitute the cod with tilapia or salmon.
