Description

These crispy, cheesy Oven Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey are the perfect balance of flavors. The rich feta, buttery phyllo, and spicy-sweet chili honey make them irresistible. Whether you serve them as an appetizer, snack, or party treat, they’re sure to wow anyone who takes a bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 sheets phyllo dough (thawed if frozen)

  • 200g block feta cheese, cut into 8 sticks

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)

  • 2 tablespoons chili-infused honey (plus more for drizzling)

  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme or oregano (optional)

  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional for extra heat)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface. Brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter, then fold it lengthwise to create a long rectangle.

  • Place a stick of feta cheese at the bottom of the folded phyllo. If desired, sprinkle with herbs and chili flakes.

  • Fold the sides over the feta and roll up tightly. Place the roll seam-side down on the baking sheet.

  • Repeat with the remaining phyllo and feta, brushing each sheet with oil or butter before rolling.

  • Brush the tops of the rolls with more olive oil or melted butter.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  • Drizzle with chili-infused honey while still hot and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add chopped walnuts or sunflower seeds inside the rolls before baking.

  • You can substitute feta with goat cheese, ricotta, or cream cheese for a different flavor.

  • If you prefer more spice, increase the amount of chili flakes or drizzle extra chili honey.
