Instructions

Prepare the shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Make the batter: In one bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and combine it with buttermilk.
