Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries or strawberries (or your favorite fruit)
- 3 tbsp water
- 1–2 tbsp honey (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup fruit juice (berry juice recommended)
Instructions
-
Blend the fruit mixture:
- In a blender, combine fresh fruit, water, honey, and fruit juice.
- Blend on high speed until completely smooth.
- (Optional) Strain the mixture through a sieve to remove any seeds or pulp.
-
Add gelatin:
- Pour the puree into a small saucepan over low heat.
- Gradually sprinkle gelatin over the mixture while whisking continuously.
- Let it sit for 1 minute to bloom, then stir until smooth.
-
Heat the mixture:
- Warm the mixture over low-medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Do not let it boil—heat only until the gelatin fully dissolves (about 3-5 minutes).
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
-
Fill the molds:
- Use a dropper or small spoon to carefully fill silicone gummy bear molds.
- Work quickly before the mixture starts to set.
-
Set the gummies:
- Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes or until the gummies are firm.
- Once set, pop them out of the molds and enjoy!
Notes
- Store gummies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
- For firmer gummies, increase the gelatin amount slightly.
- Try different juices like mango, apple, or pomegranate for new flavors.
- For a vegan version, replace gelatin with agar-agar and bring the mixture to a light boil before setting.
