This easy homemade Worcestershire sauce is packed with bold, savory flavors and made with simple ingredients. Perfect for marinades, dressings, and more!
Ingredients

1 cup apple cider vinegar
 - 
1/4 cup soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a lower-sodium option)
 - 
2 tablespoons molasses (or brown sugar)
 - 
1 tablespoon tamarind paste (or 1 teaspoon lemon juice)
 - 
1 teaspoon garlic powder
 - 
1 teaspoon onion powder
 - 
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
 - 
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
 - 
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
 - 
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
 - 
1/2 cup water
 
Instructions
- 
In a small saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, molasses, and tamarind paste. Stir well.

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, black pepper, cinnamon, and ground cloves. Mix to combine.
 - 
Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Stir occasionally.
 - 
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10–15 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
 - 
Remove from heat and let the sauce cool completely.
 - 
If a smoother texture is preferred, strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve.
 - 
Transfer to an airtight glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
 
Notes

For a smokier taste, add a few drops of liquid smoke.

For a spicier kick, mix in a pinch of cayenne pepper.
