Description

This Easy Marinated Cheese Appetizer is a no-fuss, flavor-packed dish perfect for any gathering. Creamy Havarti cheese, zesty pepperoni, tangy pickles, and sun-dried tomatoes come together in a bold Italian-style marinade. Whether served with crackers, crusty bread, or as part of a charcuterie board, this appetizer is sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 6 oz Havarti cheese, diced into bite-sized cubes (Roth Original Havarti recommended)
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 cup pepperoni, diced into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/2 cup cornichons
  • 1/2 cup Castelvetrano olives
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup Garlic Expressions (or your favorite Italian-style vinaigrette)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the diced Havarti cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, diced pepperoni, cornichons, Castelvetrano olives, and fresh basil.
  2. Pour the Italian-style vinaigrette over the mixture and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a mason jar or an airtight container. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours, or up to 1 week for deeper flavor.
  4. Before serving, stir gently to redistribute the marinade. Enjoy chilled or at room temperature with crackers, bread, or as a topping for salads.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate overnight or up to a week.
  • Swap Havarti for mozzarella, gouda, or Monterey Jack if desired.
  • Add extras like roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
