Description

Dragon Sauce is the ultimate spicy, savory, and sweet condiment that will take your dishes to the next level. Perfect for drizzling over grilled meats, stir-fries, or even as a dipping sauce for appetizers, this sauce delivers bold flavors in every bite. Simple to make and customizable to your heat preference, Dragon Sauce is a must-have in any kitchen!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 fresh chili peppers (adjust to your desired heat level)

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, minced

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1/4 cup water (adjust for consistency)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.

  • Simmer over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Add the fresh chili peppers and continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

  • Stir in the honey (or brown sugar) and sesame oil, letting it dissolve into the sauce.

  • If the sauce is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time to reach your desired consistency.

  • Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, then taste and adjust the heat or sweetness as necessary.

  • Once satisfied with the flavor, remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool slightly before using.

Notes

  • For a milder version, reduce the amount of chili peppers or opt for a less spicy variety.

  • Dragon Sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

  • This sauce is perfect as a marinade, dipping sauce, or topping for stir-fries and grilled meats.

  • For extra depth, add a splash of lime juice or a few drops of fish sauce to enhance the umami flavor.
