Ingredients
Scale
- 400 g fresh dill (including stems) 🌱
- 80 g walnuts 🌰
- 4–5 cloves garlic 🧄
Instructions
- Prepare the Dill – Wash and dry the dill thoroughly. Roughly chop it to make blending easier.
- Blend the Ingredients – In a food processor, combine the dill, walnuts, and garlic. Pulse until a smooth paste forms.
- Adjust the Texture (Optional) – If the paste is too thick, add a small drizzle of olive oil or water to blend smoothly.
- Store the Paste – Transfer the paste to an airtight container and press it down to remove air pockets.
- Refrigerate for Freshness – Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months in small portions.
Notes
- For a nut-free version, substitute walnuts with sunflower seeds.
- To extend shelf life, drizzle a thin layer of olive oil on top before storing.
- If you prefer a milder garlic flavor, reduce the garlic to 2-3 cloves or use roasted garlic.
- Freezing Tip: Portion the paste into ice cube trays and freeze, so you can thaw small amounts as needed.
