Description

These Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies are the perfect combination of creamy cheesecake and classic chocolate chip cookies. Soft, chewy, and packed with rich chocolate flavor, they make a delicious treat for any occasion. Enjoy them fresh, chilled, or even frozen for an extra cheesecake-like experience!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven – Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix the Butter, Cream Cheese, and Sugars – In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Add both sugars and mix until light and fluffy.
  • Add the Egg and Vanilla – Mix in the egg and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
  • Combine the Dry Ingredients – In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the Chocolate Chips – Gently stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Chill the Dough (Optional) – For thicker cookies, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
  • Scoop and Bake – Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool and Serve – Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For an extra cheesecake-like texture, refrigerate the baked cookies before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Try adding chopped nuts or white chocolate chips for a fun twist!
